What?
Overcome the weak soil bearing capacity while having existing piles under the tower footprint.
Deal with the big cantilevers without the possibility of using a thicker slab.
How?
Piles of 34 m length, spaced at 3 times the diameter, are recommended.
Longer piles were used in the existing piles area because of the larger spacing between the piles, which resulted in higher reactions on the new piles.
Up-stands have been added to the highly loaded embedded beams.
